Join us to learn about the beautiful art of sashiko, its history, and how to get started on your own projects at home. Immerse yourself in the world of traditional Japanese stitching techniques in the heart of Flanders. Ngaire Takano first learned sashiko in Japan in 1990, and has studied under a Japanese sashiko teacher who is a 4th generation crafter. She works to ensure traditions are shared and are passed on to the next generation. Don't miss this unique opportunity to explore a new craft with us. What’s included 1 x pack of 3 needles 1 x pack of 40m of thread 1 x full sashiko pattern by Daruma or Olympus 2 x 15 x 15cm square pieces of linen to further work on or practice Historical and cultural background Practical details Students also receive a €10.00 voucher for purchasing other sashiko items in store. Please note, this workshop will be held in English and Dutch.
